How long is the free trial?

The free trial lasts for 30-days. After the trial ends, your account will be billed based on the subscription tier you set and the payment information you have provided.

How does the free trial work?

Once you have signed up for a subscription and inputted your payment information, you will be able to log into your account free of charge for 30 days. You may cancel at anytime if Songbird is not for you. After the 30-day free trial your account will be billed based on the subscription tier you set and payment information you have provided.

Can I pay for someone’s subscription?

Yes, you may absolutely purchase a subscription for someone else. Email us at info@songbirdapp.com and we will get everything setup for you.

I am having issues with my account, what do I do?

If you are having issues with your account and you cannot find the solution on our FAQ page, please email us at info@songbirdapp.com and we will prioritize your issue to find a solution.

Can multiple individuals use one account?

At this time we do not allow multiple users to have access to one account. You may, however, purchase an Organization Account which allows a minimum of three individuals to be billed with one payment method.

What do I do if my account is being used without permission?

We would recommend to first change your password and/or account email. If the problem continues, please contact us at info@songbirdapp.com. We will work with you to confirm that only you can have access to your account.

How do I edit my profile and personal information?

Edit Profile 1. Log in to your account 2. Open the right side panel (Song & Albums panel) 3. At the bottom of this panel, select your name Edit Account Information: At this moment, you can not edit your account information such as email, password, and full name. We are developing a way that allows you to do this right within Songbird. If you need to make a change to this specific information, please email us at info@songbirdapp.com.

Is there a demo of Songbird I can try?

At this moment there is no demo available to try. Though, you may signup for an account and immediately have full access to Songbird with a free 30-day trial. You may cancel your subscription at anytime. If you are interested in signing up up for an organization account and are decerning whether Songbird will be the right fit for your team or class, you may also signup for a personal account and access the 30-day free trial. In addition, you may email us at info@songbirdapp.com with your specific needs. We'd love to be as accomadating as possible.

Is there a data usage limit?

No. Write a lifetime of songs and never worry about keeping under a certain data limit.

Am I locked in to any contract?

Absolutely not! We don't say that word around here.

Can I cancel my subscription at anytime? Are there any cancelation fees?

Whatever the reason for cancellation of your subscription to Songbird, we'd love to hear why. We'd kindly ask that you email us at info@songbirdapp.com to voice your disatifaction or if there is a problem that we can try to solve. Whatever the reason, you may absolutely cancel your subscription at anytime with no penalty fee.

How can I cancel my subscription?

Before cancelling, we would love to see if we can address your concern for cancelling. Please email us at info@songbirdapp.com To cancel or change your subscription, follow these steps: 1. In a different browser tab, head to https://ovrchr.onfastspring.com/account 2. Enter the email associated with your account 3. Open the email that our payment proccessing company, FastSpring, has just sent you and select "Click here to manage your orders." 4. Under the Subscriptions tab, click the blue Manage button and select "Update payment method" or "Cancel Subscription" 5. Click "Yes" Your subscription payment will not automatically renew, and you will have access to your account until the end of your subscription term.

How do I sign up with a previously used email?

If you have canceled your subscription in the past or did not complete the sign up process, your email may be registered in our system. If you are trying to access your account or finish the account creation process, you will need to: 1. Go the log in page: http://app.songbirdapp.com/login 2. Sign in with your email and password 3. You will be redirected to select a payment account


What are my rights as a songwriter?

“Registering songs with the U.S. Copyright Office is unnecessary to secure your copyright. How does Songbird protect my songs?

Songbird protects you and your content with a couple key features, primarily with the use of Drafts. As you write, you have the option to save endless drafts for each song. This creates a catalog of your content over a period of time. You can then view and print those drafts which have been time-stamped by Songbird. These drafts cannot be altered or manipulated once the draft has been saved. You may then export, share and print these time-stamped drafts to be used as legal proof of ownership.

Data Recovery

What happens when I archive/delete content?

We know that accidents happen. Instead of deleting content, it will be moved to the Archive Bin. There you will be able to resurrect those ideas and songs to use toward your next hit.

What happens to my content if I cancel my subscription?

Your content will forever be saved within our servers. Therefore, if you renew your subscription, your content will be there waiting for you.

Using Songbird

How can I import songs written outside of Songbird?

The simplest way to bring charts in that were written in another program such as a text editor is to 1. Create a new song within Songbird 2. Copy the source text from your text editor 3. Paste it in Songbird within the newly created song

Organization Accounts

What are Organization Accounts?

Organization accounts are group accounts where a band, school, church, or workshop class can manage multiple users under one account. One payment for the entire group. Visit our pricing page to learn about the different rates and discounts for organizations:

Who do I contact for a special group rate?

If you have a unique group situation that isn’t covered on our pricing page, email us at info@songbirdapp.com and we’d be happy to accommodate your unique situation and find the best plan for you.

What if my organization cancel’s its subscription?

Once your organization’s account has either ended its’ subscription term or has been canceled, you can still have access to your content and your individual account. Just email us at info@songbirdapp.com with your situation and we will get everything adjusted and get you on your own account. Before your organization account is closed, you should receive emails with information on how to continue and switch over to an individual account.

Payments & Billing

Can I change my subscription?

You may change your subscription tier at any time. Email us at info@songbirdapp.com and we’ll take care of everything for you.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept most major credit and debit cards, as well as PayPal and Amazon Pay. We do not accept bank account transfers, money orders, checks, or cash.

What if I do not pay my subscription?

Your subscription is the “access key” to your account. If you choose or accidentlly do not renew your subscription payment, access to the app will be disabled. You should receive emails notifiying you to renew your subscription payment. Alternatively, if your account has not been renewed, you can log into Songbird where you'll be immediately met with a "Renew Your Subscription" screen.

Can Ovrchr change the subscription payment?

No. Ovrchr has no intention of changing the pricing of Songbird, nor will we ever switch your subscription from one tier to another without your instruction and permission.

Do I need to enter my payment info to access the free trial?

You will need to add a valid payment process to your account before accessing your content or the free trial.

Are there any setup fees?

There are no setup fees of any kind.

Plans & Pricing

How much does Songbird cost?

Songbird has different tiers to fit your particular budget. The most cost effective tier is $99 paid annually. You could alternatively pay $9.99 a month. There are also multiple tiers for organizations which you can learn more about here: https://www.songbirdapp.com/pricing

Are discounts offered for organizations and bands?

Organization accounts are group plans in which the monthly or annual payment is reduced based on the amount of users under the account. Therefore, we do not offer additional discounts to organization accounts. If there is not an organization account tier that fits your particular needs, please email us at info@songbirdapp.com and we will gladly work on getting you set up for your particular needs.

When will I be charged?

You will not be charged until the first day after your 30-day free trial ends. Your account will be billed and processed automatically on a monthly or annual basis, dependent upon the subscription tier chosen. If you pay monthly, you will be billed on the same date of every month. For example, the 12th or 28th of each month. This process is the same for annual subscriptions. During checkout, the deatils of the exact date and amount will be shown before confirming your subscription purchase.

Security & Privacy

Are my songs safe?

Yes, of coarse! Privacy is very important to us. Your songs are secured by your specific login credentials. We automatically encrypt passwords so that even we don’t know your full credentials.

What does Ovrchr do with my personal information?

Ovrchr, will never sell, trade, or give personal information to third parties. Your information will be used by the Ovrchr team to help make Songbird more user-friendly and will provide you with the best resources and updates.

Will my personal data be private and safe?

Yes! Your personal data is always kept confidential. We value privacy, in all things; not only in songwriting, but especially in personal information. You can learn all about our privacy on our Privacy & Terms page.

Does Ovrchr have access to my content and personal information?

Ovrchr has a strict policy regarding your content. It will never be accessed, censored, limited, or shared. As music creators ourselves, we value and respect intellectual property. Regarding your personal information, the information we have access to is limited to the name and email you've provided upon subscription. In addition, in order to better understand our users in our ability to continue making Songbird the best songwriting application, we also have acess to your songwriter profile: musical association, PRO type, artist type etc.
